Richard II

by William Shakespeare

Directed by Michael McCarthy

Richard rules England. His kingship is accepted as Divine Right. All powerful, he is nonetheless increasingly beset by his own foibles. Misguided and arrogant, his rocky reign dissolves as a once competent monarch’s vainglory divides the nobility and sets into motion a dynastic division that inalterably leads to a century of war.

Please plan to arrive early, as the show starts at 7:30 rather than the usual 8, parking around DCAC is challenging, and credit cards are not accepted at the door.
